This weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. This was quite a feat for us considering both boys had runny noses and sore throats and Kale had been running fever. This is the only weekend to use free tickets though, so we decided to try it.
There were all sorts of activities to do, including watching pig races. I thought this was something that took place only in Amarillo, but I was wrong. I guess they do it in Virginia too!
Liam and Kale wore their matching pumpkin shirts for the occasion.
Both boys enjoyed riding on the wagon train that was pulled by an actual tractor.
The place that we went was an actual farm. During the summer, they have all kinds of berries, watermelon, corn, and other fresh vegetables. They had several acres of pumpkins too. The bright orange was very pretty.
The boys enjoyed all the activities. They got to see all kinds of farm animals. They also had a moon bounce and a few other kid friendly things to do, but there were so many kids there, we didn't let the boys do the moon bounce for fear they would get trampled!
We can never seem to get a picture of both of them looking at the camera...at least Liam is smiling!
Kris and Liam look identical in this picture. They both have big smiles on their faces and their eyes are closed.
They had an area that had all kinds of riding toys. Kale was in heaven. He watched all of the other kids riding around and decided it was time for him to try. He finally managed to pedal a tricycle!!
