Heather's Visit

My childhood friend, Heather, came to visit Kale and I. We had a great time together and I was so glad she got to meet my little man. She has an awesome camera and she took these fabulous pictures. I told her she is my photographer from now on! She even captured Kale smiling, which is something we haven't been able to do, until now!

Kale and the Cougar

We had dinner with some friends who have a 4 month old daughter. We laid Charlotte and Kale side by side and they were so cute! Charlotte kept grabbing Kale's hand and lifting up her dress. I know she had no idea what she was doing, but it was hilarious! Kris started calling Charlotte a cougar for going after a 7 week old when she is a very grown-up 4 month old!

My Brother

My baby brother leaves for Afghanistan tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers. He will be there until January or February. He will be located in the province of Marjah. For anyone who wants his address, it is:

Pouty Baby!

Kale was completely exhausted when I took this picture. I was feeding him and pulled the bottle out of his mouth. He immediately stuck out his bottom lip-it looked like he was pouting.

Kale's sleep schedule is still very inconsistent. Sometimes he makes it through the whole night, and sometimes he wakes up twice per night. He rarely sleeps during the day for more than just a few minutes at a time. It seems that the second I put him down he wakes up. I am hoping to get him on a better schedule in the coming weeks.

Kale just loves being naked. We grilled out one evening when Kris' parents were here. I stripped Kale down and he enjoyed a nice dinner with us.

We got this little Harley jacket for Kale at Baby Daze. We had to get a picture of him with his grandpa with the jacket on. Grandpa Dick wears Harley shirts all the time.

2010!

One of the girls my mom works with sent Kale this onsie. It should always be easy to remember how old he is, since he was born in 2010.

He is beginning to smile and I think I caught him mid-smile.
