Pumpkin Carving

This is Kale's pumpkin. I held his hand and helped him to draw the face. Clearly he nor his momma are artists.

Kris' pumpkin

A whole family of pumpkins

Kale and his Puppies

Molly is great with Kale. She loves him and is so gentle with him. He loves to watch the dogs. He smiles and squeals nonstop when he is around them.

 A boy's best friends
It looks like Jonah is eating his foot. I promise he is not.
He is so happy to be around his buddies.
I love this picture of Kale and Molly. You can tell he really looks up to her.

He props his feet on everything--including the dog.

Halloween Costumes

We went a little overboard with the costumes this year. I found this cute duck outfit at a yard sale for $3.

I found this cheeseburger costume online and Kris knew that Kale just had to have it. When else will we be able to dress our child up like a piece of food?

Iowa State Cyclone Baby Wrestler

Little Devil (only at night when he is supposed to be sleeping)

 Harry Potter
Kitty Cat

Bunny Rabbit--Kris thinks he looks like an evil rabbit. I think he's cute!

Happy Halloween

I can't believe my little man is already 6 1/2 months old! He is such a happy boy and we are beyond blessed to have him.

It will be okay...

Most of you know that my baby brother was severely wounded while fighting in Afghanistan. His situation has been heartbreaking for my entire family. There have been days when all we have wanted to do is cry (and some days where that's all that I have done). A few days after he was wounded, this rainbow appeared in the sky right across the street from my front door. I think it was God's way of reminding me that he is taking care of my family and I and that he would make good on his promises to us.

Kale's first trip to the park

Kale loved the baby swing. He laughed and squealed the entire time.

Such a happy baby!

We both had a good time on the "big" swings.

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm in Amarillo. It was a blast! There were a ton of things for kids (and adults) to do. They had a giant slide that we each took turns taking Kale down. It looks like Kris had more fun than Kale did!

Kris took Kale in the bouncing house and jumped with him. He LOVED it!!!

Kale got a pumpkin painted on his face.

Kale and I went on a wagon train, led by a riding lawn mower!

It was a successful day for all! Kale picked out a pumpkin and showed his pleasure by trying to eat it.

What a Cutie

Kale is beginning to sit up. He can't do it for very long, but we are getting there. He is an expert at turning over and is beginning to scoot. He will be crawling before we know it!

A Visit from Gram and Grandma

Kale is getting so big! He is 6 months old now!

My mom and grandma came to visit this past weekend. Kale had a great time with his gram and grandma. I think they had a pretty good time with him too. He kept them laughing!

We went out to dinner on Saturday night. I had to dress Kale up because he has almost outgrown this cute little outfit.

Getting ready for Halloween

Kale already has so many Halloween costumes, it's not even funny. This particular one is a hand-me-down from the dog. We can't wait to dress him up on the big day...more pictures to come!

Me and my Daddy

Everybody told me that Kale would be a momma's boy, but he's not. He LOVES his daddy. When Kris walks into the room, he immediately lights up and Kris can make him laugh and smile more than anyone else. When Kris is out of town, I put the phone up to Kale's ear. When Kris starts to talk, Kale looks around all over the place to try to find him. It is adorable.
