Christmas

On Christmas morning, we got up to look at the presents Santa left for us. Kale received a drum set, a keyboard, and chair and ottoman from Santa.  He also got tons of presents from our family. He opened presents all day long, as he got tired of opening them after awhile.

Kale got lots of good stuff in his stocking, including his all-time favorites, pacis and chapstick. Liam also got a stocking. He got bottles, a teether, and photo book.

I have gotten a toothbrush in my stocking every year for Christmas as long as I can remember. I have started this tradition with Kale as well. He decided to brush his teeth on the couch.

Kale got a bounce house and ball pit from Uncle David.

My boys in their matching pajamas. Kale was helping Liam adjust his bouncy seat.

Liam with his gram.

David Ray received silly string in his stocking. Kale didn't really like being sprayed...as you can probably tell.

Kale's new chair!

Gram played in the bounce house with Kale.

Christmas Eve

My mom, grandma, dad, and brother came for Christmas. Kale and Liam loved the attention they got from everyone.

Kale is getting quite good at holding his baby brother, although he isn't always as cautious as we would like.

All dressed up in their Christmas gear on Christmas Eve.

Kale loves giving Liam kisses.

Everyone enjoyed taking naps with sweet Liam.

Liam still spends a good part of the day sleeping. He is already a much better sleeper than Kale ever was (I sure hope I don't jinx myself by saying this).

We went to church on Christmas Eve. My boys all looked so handsome!

Our little family...

Not the best picture ever of Kale, but it was close to his bedtime by this point, so we struggled with getting a decent picture.

My dad is famous for stealing cameras and taking "self-portraits".

My handsome hubby

My parents had this old-fashioned pedal car made for Kale as his big present from them. He is not quite able to pedal it just yet, but I bet he will be able to by this summer.

My family has a tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve. I am making it a tradition for the boys' one gift to always be Christmas p.j.s to wear to bed the night before Christmas. Kale and Liam both received matching snowman pajamas this year.

You can tell Kale loved the pajamas...he immediately threw them on the floor.

Liam is modeling the pajamas. He was passed out by this point. You can see he even let the paci fall out of his mouth.

Winter Wonderland

We have already had snow 3 times this season. Most recently, it snowed earlier this week. Kris came home from work early to take Kale sledding. We had just purchased an infant/toddler sled.

Unfortunately by the time Kris got home, most of the snow had melted.

Kale loved sledding though and was all smiles the entire ride. He particularly loved it when Kris when run while dragging him in the sled. We have no hills in Amarillo, so truly sledding is next to impossible.

Liam is getting chubby!

Newborn Pictures

On Saturday we got Liam's newborn pictures taken. The one above looks scary...but they don't actually have him hanging from a mantel.

This one is one of my favorites. It describes Liam's personality well. Pretty laid back!

My little blondie!

Sweet baby

Liam also had his 2 week check-up yesterday. The doctor reported that he is doing quite well. He now weighs 9 pounds and 2 ounces and is 22 inches long. I find it very hard to believe he can go from 19 1/2 inches to 22 inches in 2 week's time, but I suppose it's possible. Liam lost his umbilical cord today (literally). It fell off and we can't find it anywhere!

2 weeks old

Liam will be 2 weeks old at midnight tonight! He has his check up and PKU test (not looking forward to that one) tomorrow as well.

Liam continues to be a good eater...as you can see by the chubby cheeks!

He looks just like Kale in this picture!

My mom and grandma have been here for about a week visiting and helping out with the boys. They will be here through Christmas.

Bright-eyed for once! Liam does a lot of sleeping so it's difficult to find times to take pictures when his eyes are actually open.
