We were sure we would get to meet Aaron and Melissa's little one over our visit to Iowa, but apparently the baby had other plans. Melissa's due date was the 19th, but the baby was a stubborn one and the doctor finally decided to induce Melissa on the 28th. We didn't get to spend Christmas with Aaron and Melissa. They stayed in Des Moines in order to be close to the hospital in case Melissa should go into labor. We did stop by their house on our drive home.
Jersery insisted on being a part of the picture.
Scarlett Sophia Helling FINALLY arrived the day after we left. She was born at 1:20 p.m. and weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz and was 21 inches long. Not too big considering she was 9 days overdue.
Aaron and Melissa didn't find out the gender, so it was a real treat to find out she was a little girl. I am so excited to have a girl to shop for!!!
