Trip to Richmond

We flew to Richmond last Friday. We had to fly an hour and half to Houston and then 3 hours to Richmond. I was very nervous about flying with both boys--luckily Kris was there to help. We made it...but we were definitely THOSE people on the plane at times. It was stressful, but we did make it!

We let Kale climb all over the chairs in the airport to get out some energy. I took him to watch the planes take off and he yelled, very, very loudly, over and over, "airplane! airplane!"

This was Liam's first plane ride. He did awesome. He didn't cry the entire trip!

Once we got to the hotel (our stuff didn't arrive until Monday), we gave the boys a bath. Kale loved having Liam in the tub with him. This was the first time Liam has been in the tub without a baby bath tub. He did a great job. Kale was a little rough and did attempt to wrestle him down at times.

We had to find some stuff to do, as we knew we would go crazy stuck in the hotel. We went to an outdoor mall in the Short Pump area. It was awesome...so much to see and do. Kale loved the fountain. We threw lots of pennies in and he walked round and round it.

We went shopping in a toy store. They had little carts for kids to push around. Kale loved it. He took himself on a little shopping spree.

His cart was full of elmo stuff. Elmo and Mickey Mouse are currently his favorite characters. He got a few puzzles and a backpack. Liam got a new book. Kale threw a little fit because he wanted a giant stuffed elmo. I told him we would come back and get it when he went in the potty.

Liam was a happy boy...as usual.

We thought Kale would enjoy a ride on the train...boy were we wrong! The train went all over the outdoor mall. Kale screamed the entire time. There was nothing I could do to please him. It was so embarrassing.

We also went to the Richmond Children's Museum. I didn't get any pictures there, but it is such a cool place. There are three different locations. We plan to get a family membership, as we are sure to go often.

One evening Liam was up past his bedtime and he got delirious. My children tend to do that when they are up past their bedtimes. We had an extremely hard time getting him down, but we got some good pictures!

I love this picture...so sweet. Kale has been asking to hold Liam constantly lately.
